5 Months Baby Rubbing Eyes

Human SOS Surface Mining

* We are the state with the largest reserves scarce water supplies in the country, we believe a crime that low water resource is used to cover the huge amounts required for the mining (and also pollution), recalling that a habitat as sensitive as the Gulf of California would not support the installation of desalination plants that meet this demand.

* The use of lethal chemicals such as cyanide and arsenic, constant explosions and toxic waste dump (tailings dam) are very risky during and after the operation of the mine. An accident, leaking into the groundwater or natural event will have irreversible implications relevant ecosystems as International Biosphere Sierra de la Laguna, the Vizcaino Desert and of course the Gulf of California and our health.
