The citizens' group organized by Baja California Sur Society (SOS) launched the "ALL", by which they seek to collect 100 000 signatures in their attempt to eradicate toxic mining projects for Baja California Sur.
Steering Committee Chairman of SOS, Antonio Caraza, announced that these signatures will be presented to the new Congress Lower Southern California and the governor-elect, Marcos Covarrubias, to support this objective.
"It is a desire of the Baja California Sur to legislate to achieve sustainable development of Baja California Sur and the process of reaching this goal will be permanently eradicated and adherence to the law," he said.
